I first met John of the White Panther Party when a contingent of Rising Up Angry folks were his guests at the first Ann Arbor Blues and Jazz Festival. Over the years we've seen each other, including at his performances at the No Exit Cafe, Redline Tap and the Heartland Cafe. This picture is from the Heartland in 2002.
